I've been finding it difficult to pick up an electric guitar ever since my red Js1200 got stolen during my move from SF to NY... I loved that guitar.

I recently got this black Js1200. I like to think of her as the sister of my old one. I hope I'll be able starting fresh with this "Spade Sister".

.sempé.

Lately I've been inspired a lot by Sempé. During my trip back home,  my buddy Adam picked up one of his art book. I knew and read a bit of Sempé when I was a kid but I unfortunately did not appreciate his drawings until now. 


I love the way he focuses on story and tells it with the simplest and fewest of lines. He sometimes uses a hint of shade and color to emphasize the character but the main purpose is Story and it tries to tell it as fast as possible.
